Most visitors to Batam never venture into the mangrove forests that cover the island's quieter edges. This guided kayak tour takes you through narrow channels and tidal creeks, where the trees arch overhead and the city seems a world away.

What to Expect

Tours run in the morning and late afternoon to avoid the midday heat. Your guide will point out wildlife along the way – monitor lizards are common, and if you are lucky you may spot an otter family.

Meet at the Nongsa village boat dock, about 10 minutes by taxi from Nongsa resort area. Hotel pickup can be arranged for an additional fee.
