Flights from Batam to Jakarta

Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta (CGK) is Batam's busiest domestic route, with around 17 daily departures spread across six airlines: Lion Air, Citilink, Batik Air, Garuda Indonesia, Super Air Jet, and NAM Air. Block time is approximately 1 hour 40–50 minutes. Flights operate throughout the day, giving flexible schedule options.

For Singapore-based travellers, the Batam gateway can save money on Jakarta fares when Indonesian domestic prices dip below Singapore–Jakarta direct tickets. Include the ferry cost (typically SGD 28–55 one-way) in your total comparison before committing. Jakarta is also the main connection hub for all onward Indonesian destinations — note that there is no direct flight from Batam to Bali; a connection via CGK is required.

Getting to Hang Nadim Airport

Hang Nadim International Airport (BTH) sits in the Nongsa district in northeast Batam. From Batam Centre ferry terminal, allow 25–45 minutes by Grab (approx. SGD 6–11). From Nagoya, travel time is similar. If you arrive via the Tanah Merah → Nongsapura (Nongsa) ferry from Singapore, the airport is only 10–20 minutes by Grab (approx. SGD 3–6) — the most efficient transfer leg.

Arrive at least 1.5–2 hours before departure for domestic check-in. There is no DAMRI bus service to Nagoya — the DAMRI shuttle runs from Batam Centre to the airport only (fare approx. SGD 2.50–3.00, every 60–90 minutes, roughly 05:30–19:00; verify current hours before relying on it).

Ferry-to-Flight Transfer from Singapore

Allow at least 3.5 hours from your ferry departure in Singapore to your flight departure from BTH on a normal weekday. Budget 4.5–5 hours during public holidays or peak traffic periods. There is no interline baggage service connecting the ferry with the airline — collect all your bags at the Batam ferry terminal and recheck them at the airport.
