The Main Route: Singapore to Batam Center

The HarbourFront–Batam Centre route is the busiest ferry crossing between Singapore and Batam. Multiple operators share the route, so departures run roughly every 30–60 minutes throughout the day. Booking in advance is strongly recommended during Singapore public holidays.

Terminals & Access

As of July 2026, all ferry operators have relocated to the Singapore Cruise Centre (SCC) at 5 HarbourFront Avenue — BatamFast from 7 July, Sindo and Majestic from 15 July. Access is via HarbourFront MRT Exit B with a sheltered walkway, approximately the same distance as the previous counter in VivoCity. On the Batam side, the ferry docks at Batam Centre terminal in the city centre, 5 minutes by taxi from most Batam Centre hotels.

Tips

Arrive at least 45 minutes before departure, and an hour before on Friday evenings, Saturday mornings and public holidays. The first and last sailings of the day fill up quickly. Weekday crossings are significantly less crowded.

Return Journey

Return sailings from Batam Centre to HarbourFront operate on a similar schedule. The first departures leave at around 06:00 local time (07:00 in Singapore), the last at around 20:30 local time (21:30 in Singapore). Published fares do not always include the SGD 10 Singapore Passenger Departure Fee and IDR 100,000 Batam Terminal Fee — verify the total price on the booking platform before purchase.
