Sunday tickets often sell out by Friday — book ahead. All three operators (Sindo Ferry, Majestic Fast Ferry, Batam Fast) charge an additional SGD 6 fuel surcharge (effective 12 March 2026) for departures from Singapore.
The HarbourFront–Batam Centre route is the busiest ferry crossing between Singapore and Batam. Multiple operators share the route, so departures run roughly every 30–60 minutes throughout the day. Booking in advance is strongly recommended during Singapore public holidays.
HarbourFront Terminal is in VivoCity mall (MRT: HarbourFront, NE1/CC29). On the Batam side, the ferry docks at Batam Centre terminal in the city center, 5 minutes by taxi from most Batam Center hotels.
Arrive 30 minutes before departure for immigration on both sides. The first and last ferry of the day fills up quickly — the 08:00 and 20:00 sailings especially. Weekday crossings are significantly less crowded.
Return sailings from Batam Centre to HarbourFront operate on a similar schedule. First departure is approximately 07:00 WIB (06:00 SGT), last around 20:45 WIB. Published fares do not always include the SGD 10 Singapore Passenger Departure Fee and IDR 100,000 Batam Terminal Fee — verify the total price on the booking platform before purchase.
